RunwayInk managed to catch up with the gorgeous Vina Mills. The Detroit native who now resides in Atlanta is here in the A making a big name for herself. Kontrol Magazine personally sent her an invite to attend the big event.She looked absolutely stunning in a green cutout dress and fashion mogul shoes. On the red carpet Carisha’Zenitta managed to catch up with her and see whats happening in the music world. RunwayInk sat down with the fabulous and oh so talented Stevie Boi. In a busy night club in Atlanta we caught up with him and managed to get a one on one of his work with Beyonce, Lady Gaga, his collection ’54′ and more. Stevie Boi was born in Augusta, Georgia and currently resides in Baltimore. When once asked about where he lives he admitted loving Baltimore, and never wanting to leave the city. Before we caught up with him he was flying in from Russia and on his way out the country. Lady Gaga who is currently on tour owes a big part of her wardrobe to designer Stevie Boi who was on his way to see her in Tokyo. They have been best friends for about 6 years and it’s no surprise as they are both highly talented. Stevie Boi gets a lot of his inspiration from art and music when he creates his work, and is highly proud of how everything is going so far. When asked about his goals his answer was to see his work everywhere around the world. Check out the video and some of his work below…

It was a fabulous time in Atlanta Thursday night. Kontrol Magazine put on a fabulous event for the moguls to attend. The magazine and crew put on their yearly event for the fashion world to be apart of. Everyone came out dressed to kill for the evening. The show was hosted by Atlanta Falcon’s player Ray Edwards and Dominique Reighard from America’s Next Top Model cycle 10. The show included an amazing plus size segment with top divas working the runway.

Showcasing designers included Fly Damn Couture, Honor Roll, Lavenders Jungle, Felicia Dietrich Crochet Couture, Elease Donovan, Shy Tie, Berami, Udeda, Kickboad Couture, Gentleman’s Table, Planet Jag and The Real C. Mar. The celebrities in attendance were Meelah (R&B group 702), Dondria, Diego Cash (Recording Artist), and Malaysia (basketball wives LA). Dominique and Ray did a hilarious job hosting and demonstrated plenty of chemistry on the runway. The show was held at the beautiful Club ‘Jungle’ in midtown Atlanta.

Jay Z may be one of the most powerful men in the industry these days. He has a successful wife, a new born daughter who the Billboards already credited for a song, and a empire worth fortunes. Jay Z has been supporting Barack Obama since day 1 of his campaign so standing behind him in the unity for gay marriage is no different.

Vice President Joe Biden generated headlines — and inspired a few jokes – when he credited sitcom “Will & Grace” with educating the American populace on gay rights. Now it’s Jay-Z’s turn to make headlines.

This week, the hip-hop star-entrepreneur and longtime supporter of Barack Obama echoed the president’s sentiments on the topic of gay marriage. Denouncing gay rights “is no different than discriminating against blacks,” Jay-Z told CNN. “It’s discrimination, plain and simple.”

Jay-Z is one of the most powerful figures in a genre that over the last decade has been shedding its perceived anti-gay tendencies, a dialogue that went mainstream after the union of Eminem and Elton John at the 2001 Grammy awards. To be fair, Jay-Z himself used an anti-gay slur more than once in his early works, but he left no room for misinterpretation this week when he stated that the refusal to allow gay couples to wed is “holding the country back.”

Jay-Z could prove to be a powerful ally. For one, his “Empire State of Mind” has positioned him as a modern-day Frank Sinatra, and his daughter with Beyoncé, Blue Ivy, is treated like American royalty. But more important, American voters remain divided on the issue, and ballot box polling has shown that gay marriage is a particularly contentious issue among African Americans. The Times recently reported that in “2008 more than 9 in 10 black voters in California backed Obama, then overwhelmingly voted for Proposition 8, the successful ballot measure to overturn the state Supreme Court’s decision allowing same-sex marriage.”

Jay-Z has been making the media rounds to discuss the two-day Made in America festival he’ll be hosting Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia. No doubt by then, more artists will have weighed in with their thoughts on the upcoming election, but one topic won’t be up for debate at the event.

“What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love,” Jay-Z told CNN. “That’s their business.”

Yes to Twilight Star, Kristen Stewart collabing with Elle Magazine for a fabulous alter ego shoot. Although the originator of the ‘alter ego’ Derrick Blanks’ wasn’t around it was still a fabulous out take. Kristen Stewart is on a marketing spree for her latest project ‘ Snow White And The Huntsman’. Because this is a much darker version then the Disney kids version, the promo pictures are a bit high fashion and more risky. The shoot was done by the wonderful Tom Munro, and styled by contributing designers Gucci, Prabal Gurung, Balenciaga, and Tom Ford. Although the quiet actress is one for smiling she admits her life is easy and loves acting because she can be different people with different problems.

It’s about that time again Moguls, for another fabulous,  fashion event. Kontrol Magazine has a clear vision. To blend together a unique blend of models, designers, photographers of the Atlanta area. Rather covering events, or putting together amazing fashion shows Kontrol Magazine is on the Atlanta scene. Their upcoming show ‘Confessions Of A Material Girl’ will be Thursday May 17th!!The show is being hosted by America’s Next Top Model cycle 10, Dominique Reighard & Ray Edwards of the Atlanta Falcons. There will be feature appearances from various celebrities. The red carpet begins at 7 and the show starts at 8. This is going to be a charity fashion show as well so moguls glam up & be ready to mingle.
